The hail, thunder, and most of the uphill hiking took place before these photos were taken. Photos from the hike up are imprisoned in a phone that probably got too wet. When we arrived at Deerhead Lake, the sun was coming out and the lake was steaming! We began to dry out somewhat on the way down. However, every incline or decline of the trail was a creek, and every dip was a pond. Water (melt from 2″ of hail) was EVERYWHERE. The wildflowers and other plants great and small were drinking it in!
